Trump Moves to Freeze Migration from 'Third World Countries' After D.C. Attack

US President Donald Trump has announced plans to "permanently pause" migration from all "Third World Countries" after a National Guard member Sarah Beckstrom, 20, was killed in an attack near the White House on Thursday. The alleged gunman is Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old from Afghanistan citizen who entered the US in August 2021 under a resettlement program set up set up by the Biden administration. Trump did not spell out any country but he said his plan includes the termination of millions of Biden-approved admissions and removal of individuals who are not a "net asset" to the US. He also intends to end all federal benefits and subsidies for non-citizens, denaturalize migrants undermining domestic tranquility, and deport foreign nationals deemed a security risks. Trump ordered officials of the Department of Homeland Security to review all asylum cases approved under Biden's administration and Green Cards issued to citizens of 19 countries.
