Crude Oil Settles at $76.05, Lowest Close Since March 3
Crude oil futures dropped $4.70, or 5.82%, settling at $76.05 — the lowest close since March 3. The 200-day moving average sits at $73.48, a key support level not breached since February. A break there opens the door toward $67.04.
Oil-linked currencies face pressure: CAD and NOK are most exposed, making USD/CAD a pair to watch for upside. Risk-sensitive pairs like AUD/USD may also soften. Traders should monitor whether oil holds above its 200-day MA.
