The HCOB Eurozone Manufacturing PMI climbed from 49.5 in January to 50.8 a 44 month high crossing into growth territory for the first time since August 2025. Six of eight monitored countries posted expansion, the most since November. Germany recorded its sharpest factory improvement in nearly four years. New orders grew at their strongest pace since April 2022, while output rose for the 11th time in 12 months. Business confidence surged to a four year high. However, inflationary pressures intensified. Input costs rose sharply, accelerating for a third straight month to a 38 month high, driven by higher energy and metal prices. Factory selling prices increased at the fastest rate since March 2023. Greece led all nations with a PMI of 54.4, followed by Ireland at 53.1 and Germany at 50.9, while Austria posted the only decline at 49.4.
