Germany’s Wholesale Prices Rise 1.5% in November 2025

Germany's wholesale prices extended its months of increase into November 2025, rising 1.5% year-on-year, following October's 1.1% increase and September's 1.2% rise, according to Destatis. On a monthly basis, wholesale prices edged up 0.3% from October. Higher prices for food, beverages and tobacco drove the growth, rising 3.2% year-on-year, despite a slight 0.2% monthly dip. Coffee, tea, cocoa, and spices jumped 21.9%, while sugar, confectionery, and bakery products climbed 12.3%. Meat and meat products gained 7.3%, and live animals 4.8%. Prices for non-ferrous ores, metals, and semi-finished products also surged 28.1% year-on-year and 3.5% month-on-month. In contrast, grain, unmanufactured tobacco seeds and animal feeds fell 5.9% annually, while waste and scrap dropped 6.5%.
