Since the U.S. and Israel launched air and missile strikes across Iran at the end of February, at least 1,332 Iranian civilians have been killed and thousands wounded. Iran's Revolutionary Guards have now warned they will not allow "one litre of oil" to leave the Middle East if attacks continue, threatening to shut the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi also said resuming negotiations with the U.S. is no longer on Iran's agenda. Trump fired back, warning the U.S. would hit Iran "twenty times harder" if oil flow through the Strait is blocked. A Reuters/Ipsos poll found 67% of Americans expect gas prices to rise, and only 29% approve of the war. After speaking with Putin, Trump said the U.S. will waive oil-related sanctions on "some countries" to ease the shortage.
