Oil holds losses as Trump touts Iran talks, Tehran denies negotiations
Oil prices edged higher in Asian trading Tuesday after tumbling nearly 5% the previous session, as investors weighed conflicting signals over potential U.S.-Iran diplomacy. Brent Oil Futures rose 0.4% to $84.14 a barrel while WTI gained 0.4% to $80.65, following the prior session's roughly 5% drop on hopes of fresh talks. Trump said Monday talks with Iran were underway and called it Tehran's "last chance" to reach a deal, while Iran's Fars News Agency reported for a second straight day that message exchange with Washington had stopped, leaving traders in limbo.
