U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met at Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, on December 29, 2025, as the two countries deepened their military cooperation against Iran. Now, with the conflict continuing to escalate, Trump has confirmed that any decision to end the war will involve Netanyahu directly. Speaking by phone with The Times of Israel on Sunday, Trump said the timing of ending the war would be a "mutual" decision made together with the Israeli prime minister. Trump stated that Netanyahu will have input on resolving the conflict. "I think it's mutual... a little bit. We've been talking. I'll make a decision at the right time, but everything's going to be taken into account," Trump said.
