U.S. New Home Prices Continue to Ease in October

U.S. new home sales remained stable in October 2025, with new single-family houses sales reaching a seasonally-adjusted annual rate of 737,000, down 0.1% from September's 738,000 and up 18.7% from October 2024. According to the U.S. Census Bureau and Department of Housing and Urban Development, number of new homes for sale stayed at 488,000, also little changed from September and 1.7% higher than a year earlier, representing a 7.9-month supply. Home prices continued to fall, with the median sales price dropping to $392,300, 3.3% lower than September's $405,800 and 8% below October 2024's $426,300.
