is 1:30 pm the most volatile hour in the forex market?

I noticed that 1:30 pm is always very unpredictable in the forex market because at that time volatility could suddenly spike for several reasons such as news releases. Has any one else noticed this?

1:30 pm London time is actually notorious for volatility because it is equivalent to around 8:30 am in New York and that is the time most American news reports come out. If you check the historical release times for NFP, CPI, PCE etc. it is always around 1:30 or 2:30 pm so I kind of agree. I will like to hear what others have to say.

You should never be caught opening a trade without using a stop loss during New York session periods from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm because anything can happen 🤣those times are very prone to sudden price surges.

I placed a trade after yesterdays PMI news release during NY session and I forgot that the brokers usually widen their spread after news release. So, I got stopped within seconds for a big loss, I learnt my lesson never to open a trade immediately after news is released.
