what is a bearish trend in forex, why is it called beaish?
A bearish trend is another name for a downward trend, and canbe spotted on the charts when your are seeing candlesticks arranged as lower lows and lower highs.
Look at the image i attached, the white candles represent price falling, while the green ones represent price rising. Notice how in a bearish trend we have lower whites and lower greens as if you are walking down some steps.

bearish trend has lower lows and lower highs and you see more of the low candles than the high ones.
A bearish trend is so called because the candles are usually falling downwards just like when a bear is attacking, standing on its hind legs, and using its paws to strike downwards.
