XM has the same 100 ZAR minimum deposit for all their CFD trading account types. If you prefer to deposit in USD currency, 100 ZAR is equivalent to $5.

They also give you a 50% bonus but the Ultra-Low Account types is not eligible for bonus.

XM also allows you buy and hold real shares with their Shares Account but the minimum deposit is very high at around 200,000 ZAR.

XM minimum deposit is not the same for different deposit methods.

The $5 minimum you see on their website is for cards & EWallet deposits. Depositing from your South African bank account has a $30 (540 ZAR) minimum deposit.
