Is Activ Trades Regulated in the UK?

Activ Trades is legit regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) here in the United Kingdom. Activ Trades FCA reference number is 434413.

Activ Trades is also a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) in the UK; meaning your account should qualify for investor protection up to 85,000 GBP if Activ Trades goes bankrupt.

Is Activ Trades Trustworthy?

Between 2009/10, Activ Trades suffered some disciplinary action from the FCA UK because they failed to segregate client funds, failed to pay clients interest on unused funds & mishandled unclaimed client funds.

The FCA Uk fined Activ Trades £85,750 for the above breaches which occurred between 2009/10.

Although Activ Trades suffered sanctions in 2011, their customers didn't lose any money due to the above breaches. The FCA didn't rescind the license given to Activ Trades so they are still trustworthy.

Activ Trades spread starts from 0.5 pips and there are no commissions. Activ Trades does not offer ECN spreads so there is no Raw Account.

EUR/USD spread averages at around 0.8 pips which is competitive and below what most brokers offer.

2. Overnight Fees

Activ Trades charges you an overnight fee/swap when you leave a trade open till the next day. However, this fee is not charged on the Islamic Account.

3. Inactivity Fees

Active Trades charges a 10 EUR inactivity fee after one year of account dormancy.
