Daily FX Options Expiring by 10 AM New York Cut
FX option expiries
Big options expiry day today, this is worth paying close attention to if you're trading EUR/USD.
Spot is currently sitting at 1.1751, and we've got a heavy cluster of expiries stacked just above 1.1760 (€1bn), 1.1770, 1.1790 (€1.1bn), and the big one at 1.1800 (€1.3bn). What this tells us is that price has a natural magnetic pull toward that 1.1800 area into the NY cut at 10 AM EST. Option dealers will defend these levels, which can cause price to gravitate and consolidate around them.

The 1.1850 (€2.5bn) expiry is also notable, that's a significant amount of liquidity sitting up there for today.
Now flip to Thursday and this is where it gets really interesting. We've got a monster expiry at 1.1825 (€4.9bn) and another massive one at 1.1650 (€4.4bn). That's billions on both sides, which suggests the market could be range-bound between those two levels heading into Thursday's cut.

Takeaway for traders: Options expiries don't guarantee direction, but they do tell you where price *wants* to gravitate. Use these levels as confluence with your technical analysis not as standalone signals.
Always trade the structure, let the options data confirm. 📌
