If price reach the poi wait for confirmation on 15min

Then sell to the liquidity zone marked

Gold is still in an uptrend. Price ran hard up, then started pulling back. The big red wick down to 4,235 was a liquidity sweep it flushed weak longs out.

That's exactly what "Expecting a buy on gold after confirmation" means. Don't jump in while it's still falling, wait for that bullish confirmation.

If 4H closes below 4,290-4,295, this W setup is cancelled. No buy.

Wait for that W to complete and a 1H candle to close back ABOVE 0.85720. Then expect continuation back to the top of the range at 0.8585.

* If 1H closes solidly below 0.85660, the range breaks down and the buy is off β€” price could drop further.

This is a much slower pair than Gold, so it will take time to hit that target β€” perfect for a swing, not a scalp.

This is a range, but what's the bias? Are we bullish overall or just playing the range?

Just playing the range. Overall EURGBP is sideways this week. So buy low, sell high. No trend bias, just range logic.

What lot size do you recommend for this slow pair?

Because EURGBP moves slow (20-30 pips a day), you can use normal lot size but target needs patience. It's not for scalping, it's a 1-2 day swing.

what exactly will be the confirmation? A bullish engulfing or break of structure?

Great question. For me, confirmation = 4H bullish close ABOVE 4,320. That is the neckline of the W. Alternatively, a bullish engulfing or break of structure on 1H is enough for aggressive entry. I don't buy while it's still falling.

Is it safe to enter on 1H/15m instead of waiting for 4H close to get better RR?

Yes, but with smaller risk. 4H is for direction, 1H/15m is for precision. You can use 1H to get better RR, but only AFTER 4H shows the W forming. Don't front-run it.
