what is break even in forex

Please I hear the term "break even" used by traders everywhere, what does it mean?

Whenever you open a trade, you will always see a small loss which is because the broker deducts their spread. Break Even (BE) is when your trade becomes profitable enough to pay off the spread, exit the negative balance and your profit/loss becomes 0.00.

After Break even you can choose to close the trade and your account balance will remain the same.

Many traders aim to exit their trades at Break even when they see that the odds are against them or when they can no longer continue etc.

It is better for your trade to end in break even than for you to record a loss.

Your trade would be said to have broken even when it is neither in a profit nor a loss, meaning your P&L is zero.

Break even is when you close a trade without a loss and also without a profit, making your account balance not to change.

To be able to break even on a trade, you must allow the trade run for some time so that you nil off the brokers spread which is usually a debit whenever you open a trade.

its a situation where you exit a trade without any profit or loss, so you and the market are even
