whats the best risk to reward ratio in forex?

I need help guys, I risk around $5 on every trade so what should my profit expectation be? I dont want to expect too much from the market because if i do wont i be being greedy?

I don't think there is a best RR, it depends on the price action you are facing on the charts. Some trades just require you placing a wide SL and smaller TP and that's just the way it could be. It is left to you to take the trade or leave it.

The best risk to reward ratio is totally dependent on personality and strategy. Personally, based on my strategy my best risk to reward ratio is 1:3. I can always do more if the opportunity presents itself but the moment my trades gets to 1:3 , i secure at least 1:2 and let the rest ride .
