win rate or risk to reward; which is more important?

Hi traders, I just wanna know; should I focus more on improving my win rate or improving my risk to reward ratio?

For me I would prefer improving my risk to reward by knowing how to select the best trades with lowest risk. In the end, a good RR will translate to a higher win rate

You can have a high win rate but still be unprofitable if the amount you win is peanuts and the amount you lose is sizeable. The RR is more important because it keeps your losses small and your winners bigger.

Risk to reward is superior to win rate. For example, you executed 10trades and you won three out of the ten with risk to reward ratio of 3. Your win trades will be at 9rr . Remember you lost 7trades, that’s 7rr .

Overall, you are still profitable with a 2rr. Hence, risk to reward is better than win rate.
