What is IG Markets Minimum Deposit ?
IG minimum deposit is ZAR 0 when depositing through local South African banks. However if you intend to deposit using a debit/credit card, the minimum deposit is ZAR 4,000.
IG South Africa will only accept deposits that come by Bank Transfer and Bank Cards. Note that you can link up to 5 Debit/Credit Cards to your IG profile.
You can deposit into your IG Account by logging into your IG Mobile Trading App, or your IG Web Trading Platform. When logged in you simply click on "Add Funds" & follow the prompt.
IG offers ZAR & USD account currencies to South African traders but if you want to deposit in another currency, a 0.5% currency conversion fee will be applied.
Why Does IG Ask for Proof of Payment?
IG proof of payment is just a payment receipt or voucher generated by your payment processor after you have made a deposit using their platform.
IG may require you upload a proof of payment after making your deposit to ensure the funds are coming from an account which is in your name.
On your IG mobile app or web trader platform, you will find the proof of payment button in your account section, so just click on it and upload your payment proof.
