Okay, can we settle this argument once and for all?

Is forex trading same as investing?

I feel Trading requires precision in predicting money flow in the financial market in short periods

Investments -long term mostly- could be made based on a company or organisation promising rise in value during its sprouting stage or already existing stage.

Mostly affected by sentiments which could later be wiped off by actual economy

Had this on btc

Initial target was a 7rr

Closed at 5rr

they are not same

— investing is long-term. trading is short-term.

— investors want long-term growth and dividends. traders want quick profits.

— investors study company health. traders study price charts.

— investing needs less oversight. trading needs constant monitoring.

difference is “approach”.

🥋how to trade with less EMOTIONS

1. have a trading plan

2. don’t trade if you don’t see your set-up

3. decide what invalidates your set-up & close position when you see it

4. backtest your strategy until you can identify it in your sleep

5. risk what you can afford to lose

6. step stop-lose before you enter

7. accept loses as part of the game

8. focus on execution not pnl

Technically same

But time frame is the differing factor

You are correct

Time frame, and also form factor

Trading is active, investment is passive
