DAY 6 Trading Summary (Fri, 2nd October 2026)
I took 1 trade setup today, and 1 position.
US100 (Sells)
Result: (loss) = -$198.80
Closing Account Balance = $100,088
Comment: The reason I took only one trade today was primarily because I wanted to end the week with the Account Balance above or equal to the starting balance. This is to enable me start next week with a fresh approach and trading plan for each day which I intend to develop over the weekend.
Secondly is because I just recovered the account out of drawdown and If I go with the confidence energy and try to push the account higher today, I might end up destabilizing my psychology. So, I had to stay calm and be less active on the account, while I'm still active on the charts.
Thirdly is because today was NFP and I often like to position before NFP and not during NFP. This is to help me stay disciplined and trade objectively.
And lastly, I had missed the US30 buys I wanted to take during Asian session through till New York session and I couldn't find an appealing trade setup that can help me achieve that goal of staying above my starting Balance at the end of the trading week.
I took the NAS 100 trade in order to check if Audacity Allows news trading, and how their execution is during High impact news event.
Observation: I noticed a discrepancy with my SL placement.
When NAS 100 stopped me out during NFP, my loss was not the same as what I was risking, and I had calculated everything with the commission using 0.1 lot size such that my account balance will still have a $100 profit on top if I get stopped out.
From the $288.26 profit that I had on top of my Account balance, I had decided to risk -$185 from the profit + 1.00 commission making it -$186.26
but the closing loss after I got stopped out was -$198.80.
The additional -$12 was unaccounted for, because it's not reflecting as commission or any other fee. The only way this can be proved is that my Closing price (3814.8) is higher and different from my Stop Loss price (30801.6) and I didn't adjust my SL or close out manually.
From this experience, it means that slippage is bound to happen on the prop firm on high volatile news days.
