Today's topic of interest: Exchange rate

An exchange rate refers to the price of a currency relative to another for instance when you hear that the exchange rate of GBPUSD is 1.3145, it simply tells you that 1 unit GBP is equal to 1.3145 units of USD.

In this case, our currency of reference (the base currency) is GBP while the other is the quote currency(so take note)

Exchange rates are important because it tells you the relative strength between 2 economies

For instance, in the example of GBPUSD above, if the exchange rate were to increase to let's say 1.4000, then that tells you that GBP is strenghthening relative to USD (or a weakened dollar). However if it were to drop to 1.2000 for instance, then that tells you simply tells you of a weakening GBP or strenghthening USD

I don't know why .... I hate jpy pairs with passion . My winning rate on those pairs are zeros.

Well I can't tell but all I know is that my strategy doesn't work for me on those pairs involving jpy . Like I can count countless chop better Sl on AUDJPY and USDJPY, even GJ as well.

Okay... I have a question ...

In a situation whereby two different currency have thesame interest rate which among the two pairs do you think investor will seems to invest on. Example sth like USD and GBP have thesme interest rate .

Come to think of it sef,

Looking back, a lot of unexpected and massive price dips have been happening on all JPY pairs

Like, it's mostly rampant in those pairs
