What do u think separates trading from gambling?

Trading relies on strategy, mathematical edges, and strict risk management to generate consistent returns. Gambling relies on chance, emotions, and artificially stacked odds that favor the "house" over the long run.

I think gambling it's all about luck, but trading, you have to study the market understand how it works, master a strategy that works for you.

That's my own point on this👍

Price action vs Indicators: which actually survived live markets?

I believe it's price action. Although I still know professional experienced traders who still use indicators but they don't depend on them, they only use them as extra confluence.

There is also an element of luck in trading too, because no strategy delivers wins all the time. In trading you have good days and bad days. Traders actually do some gambling but they do it based on research

Fr fr, I feel like one shouldn't even rely much on technical Indicators, but focus more on price action as that is what even leads indicators

Oh, oh, a technical indicator is like a tool that tells you what the market is likely to do based on current price movement

Ok, so a simple question just to ensure everyone has a chance to follow

Does overanalysis kill execution?

Does overanalysis kill execution?

Yes, it often does. Overanalysis happens when you keep looking for more confirmation even after your trading plan has already given you a valid setup. Instead of executing, you begin second-guessing every candle, indicator, or news headline. That's how good opportunities are missed.

A better approach is to define your conditions before the trade. For example, if price reaches your POI, confirms market structure, and your invalidation level is clear, execute the trade according to your plan. If those conditions aren't met, don't trade. Consistency comes from trusting a tested process, not from trying to eliminate every uncertainty.

They are useful, but I treat indicators as confirmation rather than prediction. Price action and market structure give the primary bias, while indicators help improve timing and filter weaker setups.
