I don't really know o

But what's over analysis?

Overanalysis is exactly what it means, only in this context it has to do with trading

It simply means the process of second-guessing yourself over and over again, trying to get the perfect validation from the market(looking for the perfect trading opportunity), but the truth is that the perfect validation doesn't exist and because most traders fail to realize this, they keep on analyzing and analyzing and analyzing and in the process end up missing out on most opportunities that the market presents to them

It's also synonymous to analysis paralysis: Meaning the act of not being able to act on opportunities because of too much analysis or info

7. CHF

8. JPY

Traders, do you agree with the statement, your psychology depends on your risk and position size in every trade?

Nahhh

I believe psychology's more than that

Sure risk management and position sizing is there, but u still need to grasp the flow of the market, understand why the market changes and what causes such cuanges

Top down analysis: Necessary or overrated

Very much necessary

It gives you an oversight on when to trade and when not to trade, whether to wait and see how the trends move or go ahead and place a trade for the week. It also gives you the chance to observe if buyers are leading the market or sellers are leading it.

It's definitely not overrated!

GM traders and HNM

What do u think separates trading from gambling?

To me trading is a business while gambling is not a business.

Trading deals with a strategy, skills and years of experience that is leading to perfection while gambling is not.

Gambling is a game of luck while trading is not

Exactly, they're better used as confirmation in knowing when to enter a trade, yet most traders make the mistake of trying to use them as predictors of price action

Exactly. Indicators describe what price has already done, while structure defines the bias. Using them in that order usually filters out a lot of poor-quality entries.

Honestly, it just depends on whether or not you're able to get enough confluence that price will go your way and not just that, but also if there's sufficient volume
