To me I was thinking that having an edge that works more of the time with slight discipline is the best.

Why I said so is because one can be discipline but does have a strategy( edge) that works no matter the amount of discipline one have . He or she will never be productive.

Which is why I said at least slightly profitable. If the edge is unprofitable, then the discipline won't automatically make it profitable.
