does anyone have inspiring forex success stories to share?

Hey guys I guess it can get depressing sometimes for a forex trader; any success stories you can share with us?

I don't have any success story of my own because I am not yet a millionaire trader. One of the most inspiring success stories I have heard is that of the "Turtle Traders".

Two career traders got into an argument bordering on whether successful trading is a talent or if it can be taught.

One of them (Richard Dennis) who believed trading could be taught to anyone and they become successful decided to prove it by hiring 23 novices to the Turtle Program, teaching & giving them strict trading rules to follow, and then giving them $1M dollars each to trade with.

Within a 4 year period the traders grew the funds to $150M and each of the traders went on to become millionaires and some of them established their own hedge funds.

The story was inspiring to me because it made me realize discipline is key and anyone can be a successful trader.

Later on, Richard Dennis went on to say even if he published the secret rules of the Turtle Program on newspaper for all to see, 80% of people will still fail because they lack the discipline to follow the rules.

So, lets keep on pushing and working on the discipline aspect most of us have the skill but we just need to be more disciplined and treat trading like a science.

I can share mine. I am not a big forex trader yet but have 2years experience as a trader.

Firstly, forex trading is not easy, i thought it was. My trading experience changed from unprofitable to profitable when i stopped searching for the latest working strategy. I decided to stick with a strategy that gave me an edge. I take losses with that same strategy but i had made up mind never to change it cos of the losses. I am still on the journey of profitability but i can tell you my trading experience has really improved.

When I begab trading some years ago I was always depending on technical indicators to tell me what to do and I was always losing. It was not until I listened to a podcast where someone said technical indicators are not for beginners that something clicked. I researched more and came to the conclusion that technical indicators are like driving an automatic transmission but when learning you need to learn with the manual transmission. After that I began to learn price action and seasonal market behavior and my situation began to change from unprofitable to semi-profitable. I am still on the journey though.
