how do I calculate pips on mt5?

Any specific tool I can use to calculate the number of pips price has moved on my mt5 chart? Your suggestions are welcome guys.

Mr. Elvis you can calculate the number of pips from one point to another on an mt5 chart using the arrowed line tool.

To use the arrowed line tool on mt5: click on "insert", "objects", "lines", then "Arrowed Line"

Place your cursor at the point you want to start measuring from, then drag to the point you want to stop and leave it.

You will see a reading where the first number represents the number of candles in-between the distance, the second number represents the number of pips and pipettes and the third number represents the degree of inclination of the line.

Please see a practical example in the next thread below.

For example if the arrowed line tool shows you a reading of 25/326/85.6 then it means 25 candles in-between, 32.6 pips and 85.6 degrees line inclination.

By using the "arrowed line tool" to draw a line to connect the two points distance you want to calculate the pips for. After drawing the line some numbers will be displayed and the middle number represents the pips. So if the middle number is 101 then your pips is 10.1 pips

Apart from MT5, you can also measure pips on the TradingView charting platform using the "Ruler Tool"
