How Do I Connect My Exness Trading Account to MT5 on my Laptop? Its Asking Me To Choose A Server But I Don't Know Which To Select

Exness would have sent you to MT5 login detail on your account email that you used to open your trading account with them. The details include the server details, user id & password.

Use those details to login to MetaTrader & click save information, so you don't have to enter the details again every time you login.

Copy the server address you have received on your email & paste it during first time login to Exness MT5.

If there is any other specific issue, you should add more details.

To connect your Exness trading account to MT5, download MT5, Click on "FILE", then click on "LOGIN TO TRADE ACCOUNT". Proceed to enter your trading account number in the "LOGIN" field, enter the account password & select the server (your broker must have sent the password & server name to you in your email). When you are done, click on "OK" to connect your Exness account to MT5.

Note that Exness also has a mobile app (they call it Exness Trade App) with an inbuilt MT5 terminal so when using the app you can easily switch to MT5 when you want.

You basically need 3 pieces of information: Your Trading Account Number, Your MT5 Password & The MT5 Server Name. This info should have been emailed to you by Exness.

So, download the MT5 platform, open the FILE tab, scroll down to the LOGIN TO TRADE ACCOUNT & select it. Go ahead and enter your details and start trading.

I think one area of confusion is the LOGIN box which in my opinion should have been named ACCOUNT NUMBER box. When I started using MT5 i was confused at to what information to enter into the box until someone told me to enter y trading account number.

I will assume you have already downloaded the Exness MT5 software to your phone or desktop. Proceed to check your email for a message from Exness containing your Exness trading account number, password & server details.

If you cannot find the email containing your login data, you can go to your Exness personal area and reset the account password then chat Exness support on live chat and ask them to tell you the server you should connect to.

Armed with this information, go to your MT5 software, click on file > login to trade account> enter your account details and connect.

Exness will also give you the name of the demo server, so if you want to connect your Exness demo account to MT5 follow the above steps but this time enter your demo trading account number and choose the demo server that was given to you.

To connect your Exness account to MT5 on your laptop:

1. Log into your Exness Personal Area.

2. Go to My Accounts → select your MT5 account.

3. Check the server name shown (e.g. Exness-MT5Real, Exness-MT5Real6, etc.).

In MT5:

- Click File → Login to Trade Account.

- Enter your Login (account number), Password, and select the exact server from the list (type “Exness” to filter if needed).

Tip: If the server doesn’t appear, go to File → Open an Account, search “Exness”, then choose the matching one.
