May I know IC Markets minimum deposit in ZAR?

A friend of mine told me he deposits as little as 5 USD to trade with IC Markets and I doubted him. I want to find out is this true? Has anyone deposited into IC Markets of late?

IC Markets minimum deposit is actually $1 which is around 19 ZAR so your friend is right that he funded his IC Markets account with 5 USD and perhaps he was funding through Skrill.

However, IC Markets only recommends that you fund with at least $200 but it is not compulsory; its just a recommendation.

IC Markets has no minimum deposit requirement, you can deposit as little as $1. IC Markets only recommends you start with $200 but you are free to deposit any amount you have.

IC Markets minimum deposit is $0 and in South Africa IC Markets global entity allows up to 1:1000 leverage so with say $5 deposit you may be able to open a 0.01 lot trade for the most common instrument which is EUR/USD.

However, those traders in Australia whose leverage use is limited to 1:30 may have to deposit more money to be able to open a trade.

My point is that although IC Markets has no minimum deposit, you should not deposit too little. You should deposit an amount enough to open a trade and still have some free margin remaining.

I think on your first deposit it is $200 then on subsequent deposits there is no minimum deposit. The $200 is called a starting deposit and not a minimum deposit so you only require $200 to start

Start with around 3,600 ZAR or $200 on your initial deposit then $1 minimum on other deposit you make moving forward. A little bit high right? but from my experience with ic markets its worth it.
