I created this thread to keep an eye on the US 10 year yield as it gives me a bird's eye view of how the global economy is doing. Right now the US 10Y yield is at a high of around 5.09% meaning investors are demanding higher rates to lend to the US government. The main drivers are inflation risk from the oil shock, heavy government borrowing to fund the war, uncertainty about how long the conflict lasts, and expectations that the Fed will keep rates high.
