Interesting discussion! I'm still building my approach — what's worked for others here?

I won't be expecting the buys to continue at the moment price is still deciding. Will wait till tommorrow to see this play out. A break above 4090 and the buys continues. A break below 4070, and price declines down to 4020 region.

Looking at it now, one can see the levels and understand, you can't sight a particular zone without marking it out, looking at gold critically I marked 2 zones yesterday, 4056.803 and 4108.280 and also mentioned that if gold don't respect the 1st level it will definitely respect the 2nd which was inside the new week opening gap, that is the real fvg and one of the principles is that if price is using the level it will actually serve as a resistance or support and if price is reversing for the case of gold, price will reverse from the consequent encroachment which is the equilibrium level of that opening gap between Friday close and Sunday close which is 4101.980, so gold reverse from there not because it's magic but because that is the real fair value gap that served as a magnet for gold and after that it reversed to the downside, just explaining technically the "why" behind that price action

Gold- CPI strengthened my bullish bias on Gold as expected.. Price Hit TP Level.

A good example of fundamentals and technicals aligning. The CPI release provided the catalyst, while the bullish structure provided the entry. When both point in the same direction, the probability of reaching the target usually improves, always say follow the fundamentals for high probability setups

This is very true because if you don't allow a trade to mature, you'll take a loss no matter what

Trade management is a balance between patience and invalidation. Every setup needs enough room to develop, but it should also have a predefined level where the idea is proven wrong. That's how you avoid exiting too early while still protecting your capital.

Welcome to the discussion from my own experience, what has helped me most is combining higher-timeframe market structure with lower-timeframe entry confirmation, then only taking trades when the fundamentals don't contradict the technical bias. Focusing on risk management and consistency has made a bigger difference than trying to catch every move, you can ask all your questions and trust me you will get good replies once again welcome

After news trade seems to be the best

Yeah. Those Gold sells was at higher probability from this your current entry than previous. This is a smooth ride. I'm having a buy bias today, but price is still finding it difficult to get past the trendline.
