XTB is popular with beginners because it has no minimum deposit requirement. Kenyan traders, however, should check whether they can open an account before planning a deposit.
XTB only accepts clients from countries where it holds the right permits. Since March 2026, its international entity, XTB International Limited, has only accepted residents of 16 named countries. Kenya is not on that list.
XTB also doesn’t appear to be licensed by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) in Kenya. Even if you could open an account, you would have no local regulatory protection or recourse if a dispute came up.
Some comparison sites still list XTB for Kenyan traders, with deposit options such as cards, bank wire, Skrill, Neteller and USDT. They don’t mention M-Pesa or Kenyan shilling (KES) accounts, so any deposit would need converting into a supported currency such as USD.
If you live in Kenya, contact XTB’s support team to confirm whether you can register. Otherwise, look at CMA-licensed brokers that clearly accept Kenyan clients. Several of them offer low minimum deposits and M-Pesa funding.
You can also check the CMA’s public register of licensed online forex brokers before signing up with any provider.
