Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad Sentenced To Death in Absentia

2011 Daraa crackdown: Now exiled in Moscow, former Syrian president Bashar al-Assad has been found guilty and sentenced to death by a Syrian court. Sentenced alongside Assad were his maternal cousin and his younger brother both also sentenced to death.
