EUR/USD Beginner Level trading

Today I got off on the wrong foot, I had a sell bias because of the data I was looking at.

Trades 1

I took a couple of sell trades targeting 1.1400 where option barriers are seated but price suddenly reversed stopping me out

Trade 2

After taking a closer look at the options data, I discovered there was a lone option barrier sitting at 1.1475 so I decided to take the buy trigger and placed a buy. With this trade I was able to recoup some of the loss from trade 1.

London pushed price out of the Asian range till it hit a previous day London session high and formed a bearish reversal pattern which I used as my short entry signal. The first two days of the month usually set the high/low for the month so yesterday could have set the months high and today will follow bearish

SELL 1.1511

SL 1.1522

Price is still trading within the Asian range. I will hold this short open till 12 pm, if It has not broken below the Asian range, I will close it. Lately the New York session has been reversing the London session and I don't want to get caught in-between

EU PMI Day

Today I tried to execute the EU PMI playbook rather unsuccessfully. At the start of Franky I saw a bearish trigger and went short only for price to move upwards and stop me out.

When I saw the upward strength during 2nd half of Franky, I went long hoping Franky would push price to the nearest key level and when the PMI news is released a reversal would occur.

I maintained my long while waiting for PMI release by 8:55 am but London started by 8 and reversed Franky . I saw the reversal move early and closed the long and switched to short and was able to recoup some of the losses.

After PMI news was released nothing really changed

The New York session just kicked off by 1 pm UTC+1, pre-ny has been boxed out in yellow. Awaiting a trade setup

Price has broken out of the box, so two things can happen:

1.The price reverses back into the box (SELL opportunity)

2.The reversal fails and price pushes upward (BUY opportunity)
