How to fund forex account

I want to trade on the MT4 platform but I don't know where to click to fund my new forex account. I expected to see a deposit button on the MT4 but there is nothing of such. I have a bank account ( a savings account) so can I transfer from my account to my forex account? What is the most problem-free funding method I can use?

MT4 does not have a deposit button, to fund your MT4 account you need to login to your brokers mobile app or their website and access your client area then make the deposit from there.

If you have a savings account, select the bank transfer funding method from your client area, input the amount & an account number will appear. Transfer money from your savings account to that account number and wait for some minutes for it to reflect in your MT4 trading account.

Open a Verified Trading Account

Before funding, a forex broker normally requires:

Your name and contact details

Proof of identity (ID/passport)

Proof of address

Age confirmation (must be an adult for real accounts)

✅ 2. Choose a Funding Method

Most brokers offer several funding options, such as:

Common Methods:

Bank transfer

Debit/credit card

Mobile money (in some countries)

E-wallets like Skrill or PayPal (depending on broker)

Each method has:

Processing times

Possible fees

Minimum deposit amounts

✅ 3. Go to the Broker’s Deposit Section

Inside your trading dashboard, you’ll find a button like:

"Deposit"

"Fund Account"

"Add Funds"

From here:

Select your account type (e.g., Standard, Raw Spread)

Choose a currency (usually USD)

Select your payment method

✅ 4. Enter the Amount

You type in how much you want to deposit.

Most brokers have a minimum deposit like:

$5

$10

$50 (varies)

Make sure you deposit only money you can afford to lose. Forex carries real financial risk.

✅ 5. Confirm the Payment

You’ll be redirected to a secure payment page to approve the transaction.

Once approved:

Cards/e-wallets: Usually instant

Bank transfer: 1–3 days

Mobile money: Often instant

Funding an account is always easy, it is withdrawing the money that can be problematic. I had a bad experience trying to withdraw via debit card as it took almost one month

I even made a deposit with them but it never reached my trading account and when i contacted them they said it failed and it would be reversed into the source account in 24 hours. The deadline expires today so I expect them to reverse it today.
