may I ask which ASIC forex brokers are best for beginners?
I use City Index when I want to trade Bitcoin and Indices, then I use Pepperstone & IC Markets to trade currencies. I have not had any major issues with any of these brokers and they are all ASIC regulated.

@Arthur I would say Pepperstone is the best forex broker in Australia for any beginner because of their zero minimum deposit, platforms, education and just their track record of excellence.

@George IC Markets and Pepperstone are great choices while IC Markets excels in terms of fees, Pepperstone excels in terms of beginner friendliness and education.
I believe any beginner should be less interested in spread and more interested in the overall experience so I agree that Pepperstone provides the best overall experience for a beginner forex trader in Australia.
When I was learning, I actually started off with Pepperstone then after I improved my skill, I moved on to IC Markets.
I think Trade Nation is the best because their spreads are the lowest from 0.3 pips on a standard account.
Can you recommend any good brokers with a minimum deposit of $5 or less?

Most brokers have no deposit requirements. For example, TradeNation or Td365 (not a recommendation though) have $1 minimum deposit on some payment methods, and they are an okay broker with low spreads.
It depends, on the account type & your funding method.
