Missed entry is a very serious problem when it comes to trading you can have a good setup met all criteria but at the end won't meet up execution criteria, like my ustech trade yesterday, I marked out my levels very clear and neat waited for the sweep of the accumulation level I marked and priced broke my key structure level down signalling that price failed to break above that level i decided to sell but using my fib tool i placed my sell limit at 30508 for first sell limit entry and 30596 for second and price came very close and didn't trigger my entry and started going down, couldn't even enter because didn't want to risk more than 2 percent of my account size

Take a look at the chart image

Most times, it's from the timeframe. There might be entry in the 15mins timeframe rather than waiting for price to reverse to your entry on the 4H timeframe

It depends on your strategy like mine my strategy in one sentence is : sweep , breakout and retest, like that zone if you check the chart there was a sweep above the 30707 level, there was a breakout after that to the downside and a retest of 30508 which was my first limit entry but didn't trigger, so you can still get your opportunity at 1 timeframe without using multiple timeframe but the truth is that it all depends on risk, if I wanted to enter I would have done that but my risk already for the two trades were already 2% of my account

True!

This same sweep, break and retest is still part of SMC.

No it's not SMC, the normal way I call it is liquidity purge and revert it's an advanced concept don't really want to go deep just take it as

Sweep

Breakout

And retest

As it shows the accumulated level with the rectangle

The manipulated level with the red circle ⭕

And the distribution level with the yellow 🟡

Sometimes missed entry fit disturb your psychology then you might want to get into a trade by all means then end up taking a low probability setup come go chop SL🥲😂💔

Although me I don't change my entry level whether I was triggered or not I allow it, I have this entry since Wednesday on BTC the 62596 level even if price was really fast

Reall guy, na so I do blow my account....from miss to sl

All this are normal mishaps in trading, it’s either you’ve experienced it, you’ll soon experience it or you’ve experienced it and learnt from it. Just keep up the consistency

From miss to SL is your mistake, if you missed then before price gets back to your entry there must be a structure formed, because before price miss one's entry is that it didn't trigger and for a while price didn't come to that entry meaning it's doing something else creating a new structure you should use that structure to give an invalidation to that trade not the previous reasons of taking that trade, I had a gold trade yesterday from my analysis if price breaks above 4042 and shows some reversal I will sell, because that was the peak of the accumulation level, then I saw price started selling off, and immediately I was telling myself I missed this sell but before I knew price went up immediately and triggered Me in and started selling off then later was heading to invalidation, so now I slept off and allow it this morning I woke up and noticed that price went my direction through out the night but was reversing at early hours of this morning, I looked at the invalidation area I boxed and noticed that there is a lower high that if price breaks Above then there will be more upside for gold didn't use my previous entry because I know it will definitely hit SL that's my little explanation check the chart to see my entry was at 4042 but due to high moves got triggered at 4043, the box is my invalidation today

Of course every SL is your mistake and that’s why we learn from every losing trade. You see that period where you felt price had left you out, if price didn’t go back to your entry early enough, your psychology can be messed up and FOMO kicks in.
