Stopped out again for a small loss. Notice the pattern here, each time the nasdaq stock exchange opens, it reverses the pre-nasdaq market direction,

The pre-nasdaq range is from 1 - 2:30 pm once the nasdaq exchange opened it reversed the pre-range. But observing this week, I also noticed that the reversal is always temporary, as price will still go in the direction of the pre-nasdaq range. this means I will still look for a sell opportunity.

SL is at 29,585.

When the Nasdaq stock exchange opens, it either reverses the pre-market direction ( that is the 1 - 2:30 pm direction) or it continues it. After the price broke out of the pre-nasdaq range (black box) i took it to mean price is going to continue the pre direction so I shorted

For clarity, this is the pre-market sell signal that formed once early trading stated by 1 pm. It was bearish and there was no break of structure to counter it. When the Nasdaq stock exchange opened by 2:30 pm it chose to continue the bearish direction. I observed that sometimes when the Nasdaq stock exchange opens, it could reverse the pre-direction temporarily then later continue in the pre-direction.

the Nasdaq stock exchange opened by 2:30 pm UTC+1 and I boxed out the early trading period of 1 - 2:30 pm. I traded the breakout of the box by shorting the market

the Nasdaq stock exchange opened by 2:30 pm UTC+1 (which is 9 30 am in the USA) and I boxed out the pre-open period between 1 and 2:30 pm. When the exchange opened price broke out of the box and formed a bearish pattern which prompted me to sell.

I had gone short before the nasdaq opened but got stopped out when the exchange opened before I went short again. However, I was able to recover the loss

Patience is vital in trading, you would have waited for the stock exchange market to open before taking the trade, FOMO can cause huge loss

When trading equities there are two approaches.

1. You can engage in early trading (one hour before the stock exchange opens)

2. You can trade after the exchange opens which is normal trading.

I am testing a strategy on early trading, because I discovered a recurring pattern lately where early trading sets the trend for normal trading to follow.

NAS100 early trading before exchange opens by 2 30 pm

SELL at 28426

SL at 28499

On e the Nasdaq stock exchange opens by 2:30 pm I will either move SL to breakeven, or move it to secure some profit (if I have made a tangible profit by then)
