Overtrading doesn’t come from strategy problems.

The truth is , your strategy is not the issue. You are the main issue🤣. Over trading is usually emotional and not technical. To avoid over trading, you must have :

1. Clear rules

2. Defined trading session

3. Specific confirmation before executing any trade.

Many traders over trade cause of FOMO( Fear of missing out). They also overtrade cause they want to recover a loss. Some are bored and just want to be busy on the chart.

All of the above reasons will always result in over trading.

Do you support over trading ? Do well to drop your comment here, let’s discuss more on this topic.

Fot the times where I found myself overtrading, it was always to compensate for losses. But the way I manage it is to withdraw the money from my trading account and use part of it to buy myself something. I would rather spend the money on me, than lose it to the hopeless cause of overtrading which will most likely end badly.

I love this style sincerely 🤣🤣🤣

But someone like me that trades a prop firm, I won’t be able to do that.

Prop firms are not really designed for you to be successful, they try to make it seem like they care but they dont really do. They place too many hurdles in your way. Daily loss limit, Consistency ratio, minimum number of trading days, etc. Instead of them saying you cant lose a certain amount of money in a day, why dont they just stop you from trading when you reach that loss limit? why do they allow you exceed it then sanction you?

Overtrading occurs when traders make excessive trades fueled by emotions like greed or frustration, risking and burnout. To prevent this, traders need

- strong psychology

- discipline

- emotional control and mental resilience

all of this to make better decisions and follow their plans.
