What is TradingView in Forex?
TradingView is a third-party online trading software used for trading different instruments like forex, stocks, etc. I say it is third-party because just like MetaTrader & cTrader, TradingView is not owned by any particular broker.
Any broker can approach TradingView and reach an agreement with them to allow their customers to connect to the platform and carry out their trades, We can say the brokers are "renting" the TradingView platform.
TradingView is superior to other competing trading software because it has more tools especially when it comes to charting.
Not every broker offers the TradingView platform to their clients but you can always test the TradingView demo account for free as it doesn't require you connecting through a broker.
For me, I am able to connect to TradingView and trade live through my broker - Trade Nation, but several other brokers also offer TradingView.
Tradingview is just a platform for trading forex but it is well known for having superior charting technology and being more beginner friendly than your regular metatrader.
TradingView is a fast & lightweight trading platform with modern features such as the ability to set the time to your local time zone, lots of timeframes, its easy to set sound alert notifications, easy to set/manage stop loss etc.
TradingView in forex refers to a charting and analysis platform that traders use to study currency markets, analyze price movements, and plan trades. It’s one of the most popular tools among forex traders because it’s easy to use and packed with features.
TradingView is an online platform that provides:
Real-time forex charts
Technical indicators
Drawing tools
Economic news calendar
Trading ideas shared by other traders
Alerts for market movements
You can use it on:
Browser (no download needed)
Mobile app
Desktop app
TradingView is not completely free, to unlock some really helpful features you need to subscribe to a paid plan. For example there are some timeframes you cannot access on the free and basic plans. I know some brokers give you access to TradingView but they give you the basic plan which still lacks some advanced features such as the timeframes i talked about. One good thing about TradingView is that it has a social media kind of thing going on where another trader can chat you and you become friends.
