But is there no way that TradingView can alert you that news is about to drop? I have had this issue too.

I havent figured that out yet. This is why I dont like holding trades open into the New York session because of the tendency for spontaneour news releases that can upset the market balance.

But try using the calendar tool on TradingView, you can set alerts directly from the economic calendar so you get reminded.

I got stopped out of this trade. This week has been weird with price refusing to break out of the Asian high.

Today the market liquidity was low because traders were anticipating rhe Nonfarm Payroll news release and immediately the NFP news came out, the market loosened up. I took two short trades before NFP was released and I intend to hold them over the weekend till monday.

Yes, I will be charged, I have already seen a $0.03 debit for overnight funding. I want to hold ths trade open till monday because EUR/USD has been falling this week with each day closing below the other. Even the NFP news was not enough to make price close above the Asian high which coincided with the daily pivot of 1.16009.

I anticipate the EUR/USD price should fall till the 500 level next week.

I made a big loss on Friday during London when I bought the Franky reversal. I went in really big with 0.2 lot size and some 0.05 lot size and I got stopped out. But its okay, losses are part of trading, the important thing for me is I followed my strategy to the letter. I focus on process, not outcome.

However I still have two short trades running over the weekend so let me hope by Monday they become very profitable and I can recoup some of Friday's losses.

Looking at the 1-day chart there is a bullish engulfing pattern but a 15-minute candle close below 635 will nullify it and will be a sell signal

I just went long with 10 pip stop loss. Today, the 1 day chart is showing it may be a downward day but my strategy shows me I should go long so I chose to go with my strategy irrespective of the outcome.

Price went up to pre-high and I should have taken my profit before price went down but I was away to attend to some other matters. By the time I returned, price had fallen and hit my SL. I'm down 10 pips. I notce this week, the pattern has been fake of pre, and it is likely to continue for the rest of this week.
