EUR/USD Beginner Level trading

The Monday playbook is normally the break of the first 15M of pre. It did work out okay, but I did not take the pre trade.

I was long on the Franky after first 15M, but my small SL below first 15M low was hit on this trade.

Honestly, the London move that happened today is not a playbook move. The fake of Franky by London & reversing it does happen from time to time. But Mondays are mostly trending days, so if you try to fade the move that is set from pre & Franky, generally it does not pay well.

Although I didnt trade today, this would have been my trade- a short at 528 during franky.

Although I didnt trade today, this would have been my trade- a short at 528 during franky.

Fading the Asian high lows, or waiting for the break has been working well on EURUSD.

I wouldnt place my stop loss where you placed yours, I would place it above around 1.1657 if I were a seller. The New York session is at hand so expect some higher volatility dur to news releases, so stop loss should be far away.

Happy New year everyone, this was my first trade of the yeaer but i got stopped out of two of my buy positions (see green circles). I am done for the day because my daily loss limit has been reached. Today price seemed to move away from the London FIX but I didnt anticipate it would drop so far off.

I was able to recover 90% of my losses with these two buy trades. I bought around 720 and exited around 739 so I made roughly 19 pips.

P/L for Fridays trades. The market was kind of slow/low liquidity being the first trading day of the year 2026 so I only traded small lot sizes to test the market. From next week, we should begin to see increased activity in the market.

Update: price reversed upwards after I exited. I took a buy but losed it because it was past my trading hours and fatigue was setting in.

My SL got hit for 10 pips, after Initial Jobless Claime news was released. I didnt trade well today, I forgot the news was going to be released and it caught me off guard. Bad day in the office, will be back tomorrow.
