Currently sitting at +2.1RR. SL already moved to protect the trade. Let's see how NY session treats it.

Here's why I took this EURUSD buy ๐Ÿ‘‡

1๏ธโƒฃ Price swept liquidity below a key low 2๏ธโƒฃ Broke structure to the upside (BOS) on the 15m 3๏ธโƒฃ Pulled back into the order block instead of chasing 4๏ธโƒฃ Entered on confirmation, SL below the OB, TP at the next external liquidity level

๐Ÿ“ Entry: 1.15759 ๐Ÿ›‘ SL: 1.15690 ๐ŸŽฏ TP: 1.16067

This is the exact confluence I look for before I risk a dime. No feeling, just structure.

Still holding, still above entry, still respecting the trend. Haven't touched anything โ€” letting the trade breathe toward TP.

๐Ÿ“ Entry: 1.15759 ๐Ÿ›‘ SL: 1.15690 ๐ŸŽฏ TP: 1.16067

RR right now: ~2.1R and climbing. This is what patience looks like on a chart.

The reason I don't take profit early on trades like this EURUSD buy is because the setup already told me where it wants to go. If I cut it at 1R just because I'm scared, I break my own edge. Discipline isn't holding blindly โ€” it's trusting a plan you already tested.

๐Ÿ“ Entry: 1.15759 ๐Ÿ›‘ SL: 1.15690 ๐ŸŽฏ TP: 1.16067

Copy the trade, copy the process.

People focus on entries. Nobody talks about the SL placement that actually keeps you in the game.

On this EURUSD buy, my SL sits below the order block โ€” not some random number, not "just in case." If price gets there, my read was simply wrong, and that's fine.

๐Ÿ“ Entry: 1.15759 ๐Ÿ›‘ SL: 1.15690 ๐ŸŽฏ TP: 1.16067

Protect capital first. Profit is the byproduct.

On this EURUSD buy sitting at 2R+, would you: A) Hold full size for TP B) Take partials now and trail the rest C) Move SL to entry and let it fully run

No change in bias. Structure is still intact, price hasn't come close to invalidation. This is the boring part of trading nobody shows you โ€” waiting.

We're getting closer to target on the EURUSD buy ๐ŸŽฏ

If price taps 1.16067, that's the trade fully playing out exactly as the structure suggested. I'll post the close the moment it hits.

Real talk: overnight spreads can eat a trade alive even when your read was correct.

This EURGBP buy was 2RR in profit before the retrace found my BE stop โ€” partly helped along by spread widening in the low-liquidity hours. Lesson: size and stop placement need to account for that, not just the setup.

Why I took the EURGBP buy in the first place ๐Ÿ‘‡

1๏ธโƒฃ Liquidity sweep below the recent low 2๏ธโƒฃ BOS confirmed on the 1H 3๏ธโƒฃ Retest of the order block 4๏ธโƒฃ Entry on confirmation, SL below the OB, TP at the next liquidity pool

Setup was right. Market just didn't extend far enough this time.

This is the exact reason I move to breakeven once a trade proves itself at 2RR.

EURGBP buy gave me that cushion, then reversed. Instead of watching a winner turn into a loser, I walked away flat.

Curious how you all handle this ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ

Trade hits 2RR overnight, then starts retracing hard. Do you: A) Trail SL tighter to lock more profit B) Leave it at breakeven and let it play out C) Manually close at the 2RR mark

No frustration over this one. EURGBP buy did its job โ€” ran green, protected itself, closed flat.

The goal was never "win every trade." The goal is stay in the game long enough for the setups that do run to TP to matter more than the ones that don't.

Two trades, two outcomes today. EURUSD buy is still pushing toward TP. EURGBP buy hit 2RR and got stopped at breakeven overnight.

Same process on both. Same risk management. That's what consistency actually looks like โ€” not every trade printing, just every trade following the plan.

The reason i move SL to breakeven even if the trade might still hit TP is because I don't get to know that in advance. Once price gives me 2RR of confirmation, protecting the trade matters more than chasing the full target. This EURGBP buy is a textbook example โ€” it protected me from a full retrace back to entry and beyond.
