GBPAUD Outlook

Quoted - godspowerdan

I'm not chasing GBPAUD after the bearish displacement.

I'm waiting for price to come back to me.

The retracement into 1.89074 gives me a much cleaner entry with my invalidation safely above the liquidity sweep.

Sell Limit — 1.89074

SL — 1.89178

TP — 1.88568

Patience is part of the setup.

Risk: ~10.4 pips

Potential reward: ~50.6 pips

Entry: 1.89074

Stop Loss: 1.89178

Take Profit: 1.88568

I don't control whether this particular trade wins.

I control how much I risk when I'm wrong and how consistently I execute when my model appears.

The liquidity above GBPAUD has already been raided.

After that sweep, price failed to continue higher and instead delivered a bearish break in structure.

That tells me sellers may have taken control.

Now I'm looking for the retracement into my POI before continuation lower.

1.89074 → 1.88568 📉

SL sits at 1.89178.

1.89074 → 1.88568 📉

SL sits at 1.89178.

My reasoning is straightforward:

Liquidity above the highs was swept → bearish BOS followed → price is retracing into supply.

If my analysis is correct, the next objective should be liquidity on the downside.

This GBPAUD setup is another reminder that location matters.

Selling after a large bearish candle means chasing price.

I'd rather identify where the move originated and wait for price to retrace into that area.

That's exactly what I'm watching here.

📍 Entry: 1.89074

❌ Invalidation: 1.89178

🎯 Target: 1.88568

❌ Invalidation: 1.89178

🎯 Target: 1.88568

Price has swept buy-side liquidity around the recent highs and subsequently broken structure to the downside. I'm now anticipating a retracement into the marked supply/POI before another bearish expansion.

Sell Limit: 1.89074

Stop Loss: 1.89178

Take Profit: 1.88568

RR: ~1:4.9

If 1.89178 is taken, my setup is invalidated.

Until then, I'm targeting 1.88568.

Starting September with another setup on GBPAUD.

Price has broken structure to the downside and is now retracing back toward my POI.

I'm looking for the bearish order flow to continue once this area is mitigated.

Entry: 1.89052

SL: 1.89159

TP: 1.88115

Now we wait.

The bearish BOS is the main confirmation behind this setup.

Price broke through the previous structural low around 1.8890 and has now retraced upward.

I'm not treating the retracement as bullish yet.

For me, it's potentially price returning to supply before another bearish expansion.

Price is getting closer to the area where I'm interested in selling.

Sell: 1.89052

Stop: 1.89159

Target: 1.88115

The setup gives me roughly 10.7 pips of risk for about 93.7 pips potential reward.

That's approximately 1:8.8 R:R if the full target is delivered.

My reasoning is simple:

Bearish BOS → retracement → supply/POI → potential continuation toward external liquidity.

I'm not selling simply because price looks high.

The structure has already given me a bearish indication. Now I'm looking for price to deliver from the area I've marked.

My SL isn't somewhere random just to make the R:R look better.

It's positioned around 1.89159, above the area where I expect sellers to defend.

If price trades through that level and accepts above it, my immediate bearish setup loses its validity.

Take the loss and move on.

Current price is around 1.89012, so we're approaching my planned sell area.

If I get the entry, my objective is considerably lower at 1.88115.

I don't need to predict how quickly price gets there.

I need my entry, invalidation and target defined before execution.

One of the easiest ways to ruin a good setup is entering too early because you're afraid price will leave without you.

GBPAUD has already broken structure bearish.

Now I'm allowing the retracement to come to me.

If 1.89052 trades, I'll have the location I want.

If it doesn't, there'll be another trade.

I'm expecting the current bullish retracement to potentially terminate inside the marked supply zone.

From there, I'll be watching for bearish continuation.

Entry: 1.89052

SL: 1.89159

TP: 1.88115

Potential R:R: ~1:8.8

A beautiful R:R means nothing without proper execution and risk management.

My GBPAUD bias remains bearish.

We've seen price establish the highs marked X, followed by bearish displacement and a clear BOS through the previous low.

Price is now retracing toward the supply/imbalance I've marked around 1.8905–1.8915.

If sellers defend this area, I'm looking for continuation toward 1.88115.

SELL GBPAUD

TP: 1.88115

The analysis is done. Now it's about letting price decide whether the setup plays out.
