FIRST REVIEW

Maven prop firm account seems to be the cheapest in the prop firm industry. I got their 10k 2 step account for 44dollars. As a Nigerian, their platform was easy to navigate and was able to make payment through bank transfer. My payment was acknowledged the moment I was debited in my account. I commend the firm for this. I got my login details afterwards and i am set to begin trading.

As of now, i am currently one percent up on my phase 1 and no issues with the firm at the moment. The spreads are okay. I am focused on passing phase 1 and then move to the other phase.

Pls what trading platforms do they offer at Maven? When you made the $44 payment did you transfer the money to a Nigerian account or a foreign account? Also did you transfer using your dollar account ir your naira account?

Alright, they have Mt5 and match trader platform for trading.

The 44dollars was paid directly from my naira account. When it was time to make payment, Kora generated me a Nigeria bank account, sterling bank to be precise. I paid into the sterling bank account and that was all.

Sir, if you don't mind can we see what that match trader trading platform looks like (maybe a screenshot) and I am curious why most regular brokers dont offer it. But which one do you use to trade MT5 or Match Trader and why the preference for one over the other?

This is what the match trader on PC looks like. The one on mobile is exactly same with this.

I actually prefer trading using the Match trader. why? It helps me with easy calculation with my lot size value. All you have to do is input your entry value and stoploss value having in mind the amount you want to risk. The platform will show you how much you are risking when you input any value. If its not the amount you want to risk, you can just change the lot size value.

For my Maven prop firm account, i did a mistake by clicking MT5 when i was purchasing the account but i prefer Match trader.

MetaTrader is getting too outdated, I like the way Match Trader looks, the market sentiment guage is nice.

To be honest, 8% total drawdown is fair if you’re not an aggressive trader. Risking 0.5% on each trade gives you 16 trading opportunities before blowing the account. If you know what you’re doing, I don’t think it’s possible to take 16 losses at a time.

Yes they do. You take 80% and they take 20%.

I totally agree with you on this. Match trader allows me to calculate the lot size i want to use in entering a trade based on the amount i want to risk, the entry value and stoploss value. This can easily be used by a beginner. Mt5 doesn't have this feature yet.

Please does Maven allow news trading?

Please when trading with a prop firm, do you need to trade every single day? Is there a rule that specifies how inactive you can be?

You don't have to trade every day. for instance, I didn't execute any trade on the account yesterday. The only rule is that the account must not be inactive for 30 working days.
