Over time I have seen so many people calling themselves traders but the truth is they are just good analyst. Their attitude doesn’t portray that of a trade. Besides they don’t even have the result to justify their claims.

One cannot be an analyst if he is not a trader. On what knowldge will they base their analysis on? Just like every coach can play football but not every footballer can coach. So, analysts to me are like coaches.

You cant be sure if they have results to show or not because people rarely show their trading account statement these days. And in an age of prop firms all people show is payout certificates which could be doctored as I saw on the casualfx discussion thread. But most analysts have trading knowledge if not they won't be able to do any meaningful analysis.

Some are not knowledgeable about the technical analysis but don’t make money from trading. I know a few of those individuals. It’s one thing to be an analyst and it’s another thing to be trader.

But analysis is a part of trading so you cant separate the two

Only 5% of retail traders are actually profitable so nearly everyone you see online is not making money consistently but that doesnt make them bad traders. A lot of factors sum up to make one unprofitable. The only grey area i see is when the trader claims to be profitable when he is not. But if someone is doing analysis without making a claim to being constantly profitable then maybe they are just doing it for educational purposes.
