A ranging market has no clear overall direction. Price moves back and forth between:
Resistance (top)
Support (bottom)
It usually makes equal/similar highs and lows rather than consistently making lower lows.
Think: Price is moving sideways.
📉 Bearish market with a Break of Structure (BOS)
A bearish market has a clear downward direction. Price forms: Lower High (LH) → Lower Low (LL) → Lower High → Lower Low
A bearish BOS happens when price breaks below a significant previous low, confirming that sellers are maintaining control.
Think: Price is moving downward and breaking previous lows.
