A ranging market (sideways trend) usually has:

Similar/Equal Highs → resistance

Similar/Equal Lows → support

So, in short:

Uptrend: Higher Highs (HH) + Higher Lows (HL) 📈

Downtrend: Lower Highs (LH) + Lower Lows (LL) 📉

Ranging: Equal/Similar Highs + Equal/Similar Lows ↔️

Price moves back and forth between support and resistance without making a clear higher-high/higher-low or lower-high/lower-low structure.
