Risk management in trading is the practice of controlling how much you can lose on any trade or overall in your account, so no single loss (or string of losses) wipes you out.

4.Diversification not putting everything into one trade/asset

5 Emotional discipline sticking to your plan instead of chasing losses or overtrading just as I have always said.

The goal isn't to avoid losses entirely losses are part of trading it's to make sure you stay in the game long enough for your winning trades to outweigh the losing ones.
