Base currency is the first currency listed in a pair. It represents the amount you're buying or selling.

Quote currency is the second currency listed. It shows how much of that currency is needed to buy one unit of the base currency.

Regarding to how they work...

Example: EUR/USD = 1.10

EUR is the base currency

USD is the quote currency

This means 1 Euro = 1.10 US Dollars

Well , you are right to a good extent.

1. Clear trend or market structure

Identify if the market is trending (higher highs/higher lows, or lower lows/lower highs) or ranging. A good setup usually aligns with the broader trend rather than fighting it.

2. Defined entry, stop-loss, and target BEFORE entering

If you can't clearly mark where you'd enter, where you'd bail if wrong (stop-loss), and where you'd take profit (target), it's not a setup yet it's a guess though
