US30 trading strategy

On Thursday, we saw price reversing back into the day's London range and is was an opportunity to buy in.

NYSE Open 15-minute Breakout Strategy

NYSE opens by 9 30 am Ny time which is 3 30 pm UTC+1 NG time so I marked out the first 15-min candle range and waited for a breakout. After the breakout price tried to reverse back into the range byt failed and that was my trigger to short the market.

I am going to close the trade at this point, and exit with my profit.

US30 Pre-market hour strategy

For this strategy I have marked out the pre-market hour of 1:30- 2:30 pm UTC+1 ( 8:30 - 9:30 EST American time) with a black box. I waited for price to breakout of the lower edge of the box and start reversing back in, then took a buy.

I often wonder why price seems to breakout of the box then suddenly reverse in the opposite direction

Before the stock market opens every day, some investors have already placed Market on Open Orders (MOOs) that automatically execute once the opening bell rings. These MOOs if large enough can spike price in one direction but after they are executed, the price moves back in the opposite direction. This is just one reason, they may be others

I am taking profit and closing here

I just took a long on us30 because price broke out of the pre-nyse hour range and is reversing back into it

I got stopped out

I am long us30 after price closed outside the lower pre-nyse open range and started reversing back into it.

I am closing the trade here and taking profit

Nice setup

US30 is falling after US inflation data showed an increase

Just took a long on us30 after the NYSE open

I got stopped out but I got in again

I am closing the trade here with $31 profit

The NYSE has opened and MOO orders have pushed price out of the pre-open hour range box. Price is now beginning to reverse so I have taken a long trade.

I am up $11 on this trade

Price has started coming down so I will close the trade here and take $10 profit home.
